Kartsport Wellington Working Bee
The Kartsport Wellington working bee that was to be held this coming Sunday 7 August has been cancelled. We are sorting the small jobs that needed to be done and will look to hold another working bee later in the year, this will enable the track to be open for practice with the up coming Rotax max rounds etc.
Track Practice for Wellington Members
As a member and keyholder at Kartsport Wellington this gives you the right to go and practice at the track within the 9am to 5pm times, seven days a week. The track is only available to those Kartsport Wellington members who have paid their key fee. Wellington is one of the few Clubs in New Zealand that has such wide practice times, something we are keen to maintain.
Track Use/Practice for Non Wellington Members
If you are a Kartsport Wellington key holder you need to be aware that if you are bringing another driver to the track to use our facility, and they are a member of another Kartport Club, or hold a Kartsport Licence they need to pay a fee to practice at our track. The club currently has a system in place for out of town drivers wanting to practice where a key for the track can be picked up, the cost to practice is $50.00 per driver per day.
If you are taking out of town drivers to the track to practice please email the club (firstname.lastname@example.org) and let us know the names of the drivers and confirm that you have collected the $50.00 practice fee for each driver. We can then arrange to get money from you and bank into the clubs account.
We have a facility that has a replacement cost in the Millions of dollars so we need to ensure that we recover income for the use of our facility. We get this income form our Members via membership and race day fees and of non members who are kartsport licence holders, we get this by way of a practice fee. We have set this practice fee close to the cost of a normal club day to be consistent.
