Club Info

This club has been operating for nearly 50yrs - starting in Mana originally. After the housing started to impact on the site, it was moved out to it's current location at Kaitoke and has been in constant development since. Starting with just a few buildings, it now boasts a great clubhouse which has been constructed from the donated officers mess at Fort Dorset with much work by Gary Wilson, Colin McLennan and several other core members.

On Club days the shop is open for food and drink from 8.00am. EFTPOS is available.  There are a number of hardcover kartports and plenty of room for more, two large carparks for more trailers and the all important spectators and of course there is also a full tech area, with scales and protest rooms.

The club has a 780 metre track in a flowing and challenging layout. It is built on the side of a hill, which gives it a 10metre elevation from top to bottom, something the drivers love!

We race on the third Sunday of every month, with driving and spectating visitors welcome. Come along and see what this family sport is all about. The club hosts a variety of kart classes and we also host the bucket bike riders for their racing.  For licences and nationwide rules see Kartsport NZ.

The Club is a member of the Wellington Provincial Karting Association (WPKA) which runs a provincial racing series in the lower North Island, with the Palmerston North, Taranaki and Hawkes Bay Karting Clubs.

Like most clubs, it is supported by great volunteers who provide the shop facilities, lap scoring, flag marshaling, starter, race and technical officials. There is always room for more volunteers with an interest in motor racing.
